Redmond O'Neal going to jail for drug violation
Redmond O'Neal, the druggie son of Ryan O'Neal and the late Farrah Fawcett, is going directly to jail because he violated the drug policy of the rehab facility he's been staying at. Red, it's not like you go to drug treatment in order to learn how to take the drugs ...
L.A. Superior Court Judge Michael Tynan on Tuesday sentenced O'Neal to 30 days in an in-custody drug program because of his "drug-related offense," the L.A. Times reports. Redmond was on a 24-hour pass from a residential treatment center, a sheriff's spokesman said: "When he came back, he told the program counselors that he had used drugs," Steve Whitmore said. "He tested positive" for unspecified drugs.
O'Neal was taken into sheriff's custody back on Dec. 29; He'll be back in court on Feb. 10. He had been ordered by a court to enroll in the previous rehab center as part of a three-year probation sentence for heroin possession. Old habits die hard, since he had previously been busted for possession twice before, including once at his dad Ryan's home in Malibu.
