Here's a bright spot in our nation's legal system: Reese Witherspoon won't be pressing any charges against that 84-year-old who hit her in a crosswalk while Reese was jogging on Wednesday. Just you try to imagine Kim Kardashian agreeing to that. It'd be a trial to rival O.J. Simpson if that happened to her.

The 35-year-old actress' rep confirmed to People on Friday that Reese wouldn't be taking any legal action. She suffered minor injuries, including a cut on the forehead, when she was struck by the car, which was going about 20 mph.

The driver was cited for failure to yield to a pedestrian. And attempted murder! Wait, no, just failure to yield.
