Reports: 'Two and a Half Men' to kill off Charlie Harper (who will be reborn elsewhere)
TMZ has the scoop on how TV’s Two and a Half Men will continue without Charlie Sheen. The warlock will be killed off. Sources tell the website that producer Chuck Lorre wants to make sure Sheen can never return to the show. So when the show returns in September, Alan and Jake will learn that Charlie Harper is no more.
Exactly how he’ll die is still up in the air, but one scenario includes Charlie driving his car off a cliff. The first show won’t be taped until early August, so there’s plenty of time for more details to leak out.
Meanwhile, Sheen may be on the verge of finding a new show. Radar Online says the actor has signed a deal with Lionsgate Television for a new sitcom, and that the character he’ll play will be similar to his previous role. The only difference? The raunch factor.
“Networks and cable are bidding on the show right now, with TBS being the front-runner,” the source told Radar.” Cable makes more sense because it offers more creative freedom.”
