Rick Ross had a seizure on a plane, forced emergency landing
Miami rapper Rick Ross is recovering after an apparent seizure on a flight from Fort Lauderdale to Memphis, Tenn., Friday afternoon, tweeting that he's okay after his plane had to return to the airport for the medical emergency.
TMZ first reported that Ross (nee William Leonard Roberts II) was unconscious aboard the flight, a situation that forced an emergency landing back in Fort Lauderdale. He was taken to the terminal where paramedics revived him by performing CPR. The Miami Herald says that it was Delta flight 1310, which left at 12:21 p.m., but returned shortly after 1 p.m.
"I just talked to Ross...he's 100 pct ok..." rapper Wale tweeted via @Wale shortly after the incident. When Rap Radar journalist Elliot Wilson inquired about Rick's status, Ross himself answered via @rickyrozay, "never dat homie..we outchea #mmg powercirle!!!!"
Ross was treated at Broward General Medical Center after he was wheeled out of the airport. He was heading to Memphis to open a Wingstop restaurant franchise in an event scheduled for Saturday afternoon, the AP says. That sounds like a pretty good indication of what may be wrong with the big guy’s health.
