Rihanna dropped by Nivea, bashed by CEO

Nivea's new prez, Stefan Heidenreich, has publicly disapproved the idea of making Rihanna the face of the skin care line for its 100th anniversary. "Rihanna is a no-go," Heidenreich said, according to The Daily Mail. He also added: "I do not understand how to bring the core brand of Nivea in conjunction with Rihanna. Nivea is a company which stands for trust, family and reliability." Heidenrich is also moaning about Nivea's previous decision to run ads containing the star and that Nivea was a sponsor for her world tour.
Last year, when Rihanna was initially signed on, the company said they were excited to have her. Board member Markus Pinger said in a press release: "Over the past 100 years, Nivea has been an iconic skin-care brand across the world. Rihanna is a music icon and her digital footprint will help us bring our anniversary celebration to consumers wherever they are."
In response to all this, the chanteuse posted a headshot of the charming CEO on her Twitter and wrote: "No caption necessary."
