Rod Blagojevich may join NBC reality show

Tbd-rodblagojevich041609 Not to get too political, but The Juice* takes this about as seriously as Tax Day's tea party protests: Former Illinois Gov. Rod Blagojevich is discussing a spot on a new survivaly-style reality show called I'm a Celebrity ... Get Me Out of Here, the Chicago Tribune reports.

Blago attorney Sheldon Sorosky told a federal judge Tuesday that the would soon be requesting looser travel restrictions so he could go to Costa Rica this summer to shoot the NBC show. Celebrity is a adaptation of a British show and will feature 10 celebrities dropped onto an island and then voted off by viewers one by one. So it's like Chicago politics, they're saying.

The show will have a four-week run this summer, NBC says, which is short enough to keep our interest but not so long as to tax our short attention spans. Otherwise we'd have to protest.
