Rosie O'Donnell tells Oprah Winfrey she's moving in with new girlfriend Tracy
In case you were wondering about Rosie O'Donnell's family life since her breakup with partner Kelli Carpenter (we weren't, really), she spills the beans on Monday's episode of The Oprah Winfrey Show. Be sure and set your DVRs, since you'll have to pause frequently due to breathlessness.
People says O'Donnell discusses raising their four kids with Carpenter: Parker, 14; Chelsea, 12; Blake, 10; and Vivienne Rose, 7: "Although we co-parent, we share equal time but we're never really without them," Rosie says on the show. "Some are here. And that's the way we did it. It's free-flowing, and we do nights together, too."
Carpenter "lives nearby," although O'Donnell says that's "not close enough. I wanted her to live in the same town, and she was, like, 'I don't know how good that's gonna be for me.' Like, what are you saying? You can't exist – okay. Calm down. Breathe. Everything's okay."
It's a little presumptuous for Rosie to demand Kelli live where she wants her to live, since Rosie left her partner of 12 years for Texas-based artist Tracy Kachtick-Anders, with whom she plans on sharing a home. Oh, did we mention Tracy has six kids of her own?
"As soon as we can arrange the kids' thing where she lives in Texas, you know," Rosie explains, adding that they are going to blend the families so there will be times when 10 kids are living in the same house. We think TLC has found its replacement for Jon & Kate Plus 8.
