Sandra Bullock donates $1 million to Red Cross for Japan relief
Leave it to an actress sympathetic to the plight of New Orleans' Hurricane Katrina victims to donate a bundle for Japan: Sandra Bullock has given $1 million to the American Red Cross to help earthquake and tsunami victims in Japan. This only further solidifies her standing at the top of The Juice* "Do Not Ridicule" list.
"This contribution is vitally important as the Red Cross works to provide critical assistance and essential relief items in this time of urgent need for so many people in Japan," the organization told CNN. They added that otehr big-name stars may have made sizable donations, but those contributions may have been anonymous.
The group has pulled together $47 million since the disaster last Friday. Those $10 donations via text message have raked in $2.6 million alone.
