Sarah Palin had a one-night stand with Glen Rice in 1987, book says

rsz_tbd-glenrice091511.jpgThe National Enquirer is breathlessly reporting that they've helped writer Joe McGinniss dig up some dirt on Sarah Palin, saying she had a fling with a college basketball player way back in 1987. Before she was married and had kids? How dare she!

McGinniss is ready to release his new book, The Rogue: Searching for the Real Sarah Palin, and in it he describes how Palin and former NBA player Glen Rice had a one-night stand in 1987, while he was a junior playing for Michigan in the Great Alaska Shootout and she was a sports reporter right out of school at KTUU in Alaska (watch video of her on the air in 1988 above).

Rice went on to be a three-time NBA all-star and play for six different teams, including the Miami Heat, while McGinness went on to move into the house next door to Palin to write a creepy tell-all. Palin, nee Heath, eloped with husband Todd less than a year after the hookup. The book also notes she and Todd snorted coke off a 55-gallon oil drum during a snowmobile trip and that she had an extramarital affair with Todd's business partner, Brad Hanson, but strangely, that's not what the media seems to be focusing on.

Rice apparently confirmed this to McGinniss, while Palin's side has yet to react to this news, but who cares? While the station would likely frown on her fraternizing with a player -- and some gossipy outlets want to play up the interracial aspect -- The Juice* gives this a big ho-hum. If anything, we'd just point and laugh whenever she said anything about young people practicing abstinence, but we already did that when daughter Bristol got pregnant.
