Incongruous item of the day: There's a remake of classic HBO children's show Fraggle Rock in the works, and it's progressing far enough that a soundtrack is on the way. But the musicians involved are Scissor Sisters frontman Jake Shears and guitarist Babydaddy, a.k.a Scott Hoffman. Next thing you know, Randy Newman will be writing happy songs.

Publisher Spirit Music and the Jim Henson Company struck a deal for Spirit to take over global administration for the Henson catalogue, Music Week.com reports, hence the deal with Shears and Babydaddy to work on the project. Imagine what they'd do with otherproperties they now have access to, like Labyrinth, The Dark Crystal and Farscape.

"By working with them (Henson) right from the very start it means that we can make music an integral part of the film; as important and as emotionally effective as the filmmaking -- helping the two to co-promote each other," Spirit managing direct Mark Fried said. Wow, imagine the Fraggles singing the Scissor Sisters' She's My Man. That's a very different education for today's youth.
