Seth Rogen, Judd Apatow rip on Katherine Heigl
If some of you with lesser constitutions think The Juice* is venomous, you should hear what Seth Rogen and Judd Apatow had to say about Knocked Up costar Katherine Heigl on Howard Stern's Sirius XM radio show. You mean he's still mad at her for bashing the flick back in 2007?
Rogen and Apatow were reacting to Heigl's old Vanity Fair interview in which she said the movie "paints the women as shrews" and the men as "lovable," and that "it was hard for me to love the movie." Seth thought her new movie, The Ugly Truth, was pretty similar.
"That looks like it really puts women on a pedestal in a beautiful way," he said drily, to which Apatow threw in, "I hear there's a scene where she's wearing ... underwear ... with a vibrator in it, so I'd have to see if that was uplifting for women."
Apatow tried to be understanding, saying Heigl was "probably was doing six hours of interviews and kissing everyone's a--, and then just got tired and slipped a little bit." But Rogen countered: "I didn't slip and I was doing f---ing interviews all day long, too. ... I didn't say s---!"
The big mystery is that there were no problems on set.
"We never had a fight," Apatow said. "Seth always says, it doesn't make any sense ... she improvised half her s---."
And Rogen's grand finale? "I gotta say it's not like we're the only people she said some bats--- carzy things about. That's kind of her bag now."
Ouch. With all the Grey's Anatomy drama, you'd think they'd find something more recent to complain about, but then, they probably won't be working together anytime soon.
(More of the interview is on YouTube, starting here, but mind the language.)
