Shannen Doherty may be back on new '90210'
Notorious beyotch Shannen Doherty may be reprising her role as Brenda Walsh on the CW's new 90210 spinoff, according to EW.com's Michael Ausiello, but that doesn't mean her costars are happy about it. The site says producers Gabe Sachs and Jeff Judah have met with Doherty, "but she wants to know what the story is going to be first," a source says. Oh yeah, and the money might be a problem.
But past feuds with Tori Spelling and Jennie Garth may also be an obstacle. Tori even chronicled a fistfight between Shannen and Jen back in the day, Ausiello points out, and the producers don't want another 90s-style catfight on their hands.
"They should demand good behavior and get rid of her quick if they don't get it," an unnamed producer says. "The danger is that the show becomes a big hit, and her participation is seen as essential. If that happens, and she's still a disruptive, dysfunctional actor, then they've got a big mess."
Garth says that's no biggie, though: "A lot of time has passed, and I'm a big girl. I'd have no problem with her coming on the show," she says. We're really hoping Doherty decides to do it. Life just hasn't been the same since she got PO'd at Alyssa Milano and left Charmed.
