Shawne Merriman now suing Tila Tequila
Yesterday we said Tila Tequila must be over ex Shawne Merriman, since she got "engaged" to Johnson & Johnson heiress Casey Johnson, but the San Diego Chargers linebacker isn't over her. In fact, he just sued her in federal court. Love is so fickle.
Merriman claims the MySpace mistress slandered him with posts on her Web site, saying he "choked and attacked" her, "sleeps with minors and forces them to take drugs," some of which he made in his own home, TMZ reports. But instead of defamation, he's suing Tila (nee Nguyen) for intentional interference with contract, unfair competition and trademark infringement, the site says.
Merriman claims she used his "Lights Out" logo on her site without permission and allegedly messed up a deal he had in the works to make t-shirts for Wal-Mart. Well, Chinese people probably were going to physically make them, but you get the idea.
This is likely a response to Tila's suit against Shawne, in which she's demanding $1.5 million for alleged domestic abuse. He was arrested for allegedly choking her and holding her down in September, but charges were dropped for insufficient evidence. We expect Tila's new fiance has the wherewithall to back up her sweetie's legal team, though.
