Snooki discusses her past battle with anorexia
Mike "The Situation" Sorrentino was just ragging on Nicole "Snooki" Polizzi's fat rolls on Jersey Shore, but then the tiny terror dropped the bomb that she used to battle with anorexia. Don't worry, Mike, she's over. Besides, you're the one who made out with her last season.
"In high school, I really wouldn't eat," she said in a follow-up interview on The Insider. "I would only have lunch, and I would only have salads. And then it got so crazy that I would only eat a cracker or a cucumber a day and I would feel full."
She notes she was worried about her body image and that freshman girls would take her place on the cheerleading squad, so she "would go into the nurse's office every day and I would weigh myself. And then when (the school nurse) realized that I hit 80 pounds, she was like, 'This isn't good.'" (Watch video of the interview here.)
So the nurse ratted the 4-foot-9 Snooks out to her folks: "My parents just told me, you know, you need to eat, this is very dangerous. ... So I definitely gained my weight back to like 98, where I always was."
The Juice* doesn't poke fun at eating disorders, so our hands are tied with this one, but congratulations seems a little incongruous. So, uh, happy eating, maybe?
