'Storage Wars' auction house owner Mark Balelo commits suicide
An auction house owner featured on A&E reality show Storage Wars was found dead in his car of an apparent suicide, TMZ reports. Mark Balelo apparently committed suicide by carbon monoxide poisoning, because he was found in his car, which was still running with him inside at his business.
The site says Balelo, who was featured on a few episodes of the show, had recently been arrested for possession of a controlled substance and was upset after being released from jail. He had asked his fiancee to help him because he was thinking of hurting himself. They met at his office Sunday and talked, then he took a four hour nap and said he felt better. The fiancee left Sunday and an employee found Balelo dead Monday morning.
An autopsy is to be conducted Wednesday, the site says. Representatives did not give any comment about the 40-year-old's death.
