Studio puts off 'Justice League'; geeks weep

17

January

Tbdadambrody011808 If you’re geeked out enough to care about the upcoming Justice League of America movie, you’ll be sad to hear it’s been shelved for now. Entertainment Weekly says Warner Bros. won’t be able to get the George Miller project flying by spring.

The studio had until Jan. 15 to get things movie in time for a summer 2009 release, but script problems (gee, who’da thunk?) and tax issues have booted it back, past the writers strike and beyond — meaning the expected actors strike to follow.

Tbdmegangale011808 Warner Bros. does say it expects to keep the cast that’s been committed, including Adam Brody (right) as Flash and Megan Gale (left) as Wonder Woman, but Krypton only knows when shooting will begin.

Considering they wanted to load up on unknowns and B-listers to play roles like Batman and Superman, we can’t say pushing it off is such a bad thing.
