Studio puts off 'Justice League'; geeks weep
If you’re geeked out enough to care about the upcoming Justice League of America movie, you’ll be sad to hear it’s been shelved for now. Entertainment Weekly says Warner Bros. won’t be able to get the George Miller project flying by spring.
The studio had until Jan. 15 to get things movie in time for a summer 2009 release, but script problems (gee, who’da thunk?) and tax issues have booted it back, past the writers strike and beyond — meaning the expected actors strike to follow.
Considering they wanted to load up on unknowns and B-listers to play roles like Batman and Superman, we can’t say pushing it off is such a bad thing.
