'Survivor' Ethan Zohn's cancer is in remission
As a respite from the usual stupidity on display in Celebrityville, we're happy to tell you that Survivor: Africa winner Ethan Zohn's cancer has gone away. That's much nicer than writing about Lindsay Lohan in Cannes.
"A few weeks ago, we got his first clean CT scan," girlfriend and Survivor: Amazon winner Jenna Morasca told People. "Now we can officially call him 'in remission.' We were so nervous for this test because good news on this test meant we could start our lives again."
There was a false start on the celebration last August when the couple thought chemo for his rare form of Hodgkin's Disease had worked, but there was still a stem cell transplant in the cards. Things are great now, though. Zohn is slated to begin work on a show called Outside Today, and the couple will be going to South Africa next month to work with Zohn's foundation, Grassroot Soccer, the charity he founded with his TV winnings.
"Ethan says he is just excited to start living again and enjoying every precious moment," Morasca said. "We wanted to come out of this stronger people with more appreciation for each other and the world – and that's exactly what happened."
And yes, they already did go to Disney World to mark the remission.
