Susan Boyle checks in to mental health clinic
Not winning Britain's Got Talent has apparently pushed Susan Boyle over the edge, as the 48-year-old Scot is reportedly getting counseling after coming in second over the weekend. We've got to think all those sessions with Simon Cowell really scarred her.
The Sun says that Boyle was admitted Sunday to the Priory Clinic, which is a provider of "acute mental health services," the clinic's Web site says. The show's producers, talkbalkThames, says the singer was "exhausted and emotionally drained," and was taking a few days off.
"She has been seen by her private GP who supports her decision to take a few days out for rest and recovery," they said in a statement. "We offer her our ongoing support and wish her a speedy recovery."
We've got to think that once she's out of the prying eyes of a public that derides her for having untrimmed toenails, a monobrow and is a second-class citizen for not owning a computer, she'll be much better off.
