Sylvester Stallone won't direct 'Expendables' sequel
Sylvester Stallone is bucking industry rumors and swearing that he won't be directing the sequel to washed-up action star lovefest The Expendables. He must be too busy making a sequel to 1986's Cobra. He's probably going to call it Marion Cobretti.
Deadline says that Stallone is looking for people to direct the sequel to his $275 million-grossing flick. The new one is already scripted and should have its major stars back, including Arnold Schwarzenegger and Bruce Willis, for whom Sly wants expanded roles this time.
Jason Statham, Jet Li, Mickey Rourke, Dolph Lundgren and Terry Crews also should return, although nothing is finalized. Stallone reportedly wants to grow the cast to include more action stars. We suggest Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson, Vin Diesel and Peter Weller, just so they can stage the world's biggest cheesy acting contest.
