Take part in Jimmy Kimmel's National UnFriend Day
In case you missed the announcement earlier this week, mark your calendars for Jimmy Kimmel's National UnFriend Day on Nov. 17, when we all are supposed to ditch the hangers-on that comprise the third wave of people we friended on Facebook. You know, the ones after your real friends, then your coworkers. Look for another announcement on The Juice*'s Facebook fan page.
I encourage you to cut out some of the friend fat in your life. A friend is someone you have a special relationship with. It's not someone who asks 'Which Harry Potter character are you?" Kimmel said on his show. "Remember five years ago when nobody was on Facebook and you didn’t know what the guy you took high school biology with was having for lunch? Remember how that was totally fine? Let’s go back to that."
Thankfully Jimmy got people like William Shatner and Dr. Mehmet Oz to back up his pitch (and added a catchy slogan with "Un for all and all for Un"). Watch videos for his new cause above and below, because we all need less friendship.
