Actor Taye Diggs headed home from the SAG Awards around 11:30 Sunday night with wife Idina Menzel only to be greeted by a burglar in his garage. Too bad for that sap Diggs chased him down and beat the ever living heck out of him. Well, we don't know that, but that's what we figure he did.

"The suspect tried to run away, but (Diggs) chased him down the street was able to detain him until police arrived," LAPD spokesman Richard French told People about the suspect, Hassan Juma. "At this time, I don't know exactly what he did to the suspect to detain him." 

Well, so anyway, 20-year-old Juma was arrested and charged with burglary and slapped with a $50,000 bail. Diggs, meanwhile, will have a post-Private Practice job as a bodyguard for Rick Ross.
