Taylor Swift crashes Kennedy wedding, is asked to leave
Taylor Swift apparently thinks she can do whatever she wants since she's arguably the biggest star on the planet AND she's dating a Kennedy. (A couple weeks back, The Juice* reported Swift is now dating Conor Kennedy, son of Robert Kennedy Jr.) Over the weekend, Swift crashed the Kyle Kennedy-Liam Kerr wedding in Boston, the Boston Herald reports. Mother of the bride Victoria Gifford Kennedy asked Swift to leave not once, but twice. Gifford Kennedy told the newspaper that Conor was invited to the wedding but he didn't RSVP. "They texted me an hour before the wedding and asked if they could come. I responded with a very clear, 'Please do not come.' They came anyway," she said.
MOB gave Swift the boot because she didn't want the singer to steal the spotlight on her daughter's wedding day. Naturally, fans were asking for photos and autographs in the venue lobby. "I personally went up to Ms. Swift, whose entrance distracted the entire event, politely introduced myself to her, and asked as nicely as I could to leave. It was like talking to a ghost. She seemed to look right past me," Gifford Kennedy said.
Swift didn't listen, because the couple left the reception but came back for dancing after dinner. Swift's rep, Paula Erikson, told the Herald that the singer was actually a welcomed guest. "There is no truth to that," Erikson said. "Taylor was invited to the wedding and the bride thanked her profusely for being there."
Crashing a wedding after you're told to leave 93 times by the MOB probs isn't a good way to make an impression on your guy's family -- especially when said family is the Kennedys. Then again, Swift writes songs about crashing weddings and ruining them (a la Speak Now). We guess they should have expected this sort of charade.
