There may be Transformers 4 and 5, starring Jason Statham
While you may be breathing a sigh of relief at the thought of the Transformers series ending, what with Shia LaBeouf and Michael Bay saying they're done, don't pop the top on your Four Loko just yet. Variety says there may not be just one more sequel, but two, and they could star Jason Statham. It's impossible to say if that's better or worse.
Screenwriter Ehren Kruger -- who worked on Revenge of the Fallen and Dark of the Moon --- has apparently pitched an idea for parts four and five that would see the flicks shot back-to-back, and features the cockney hero replacing the Beouf. Curious, since Statham also has been mentioned for two more Fast and Furious movies. Oh, one with cars that go fast and crash a lot. You know, the ones.
Statham would definitely bring a different tone to the series, but unless he can take his shirt off and fight a Decepticon or three, they're kind of missing the target audience. And since she's dating Statham, it also sounds like Rosie Huntington-Whitely may return, just in case you haven't gotten your fill of inanimate objects getting starring roles.
