Tim Gunn rips on Real Housewives, Taylor Momsen
While we're talking about Real Housewives, we can do no better than statements made by honorary Juice* spokesman Tim Gunn, who ripped the series and its awful stars while promoting his new book, Gunn's Golden Rules: Life's Little Lessons for Making It Work. It seems he doesn't have much tolerance for idiots. How does he do Project Runway, then?
"The Salahis are sociopaths! They believe their own lies," Gunn told E! about D.C.'s Tareq and Michaele Salahi, a.k.a. the White House party crashers. "And It's like we've gone back to ancient Rome," he added about Danielle Staub's fistfight with Teresa Giudice on the New Jersey installment's reunion show. "We've gone back to the Colosseum where we watch people rip each other limb to limb. I want a DNA test — how far are these women from wild animals? What do they take from this behavior? My advice is to take the high road. You'll never regret it."
Well, Bravo may regret it. Meanwhile, his admonishment of Gossip Girl's Taylor Momsen, whom he encountered while taping a guest appearance on the CW show: "What a diva! She was pathetic, she couldn't remember her lines, and she didn't even have that many. I thought to myself 'why are we all being held hostage by this brat?' "
Most egregious among her annoying habits was her Blackberry usage. "I'd say, 'You know, young lady, there are hundreds of thousands of girls who are just as attractive and even smarter than you. Why are you acting like this show is a huge burden on you?' She was on her phone during every break, I wanted to tell her, 'If you weren't on your BlackBerry, you can retain this stuff.' ''
We would put that on a bumper sticker, but it wouldn't be very readable.
