Tina Fey, Eva Longoria are highest-paid TV actresses
Whenever Forbes releases one of its highest-paid lists, we feel the need to tell you about it, so guess what? Tina Fey and Eva Longoria are tied for first place on this year's list of highest-paid TV actresses. Never mind a bunch of their money came from sources outside television. That's just splitting hairs, anyway.
Thanks to Fey's jobs writing, producing and starring on 30 Rock, plus the million-copy-selling success of her book Bossypants, she matches rival Longoria, who augments her Desperate Housewives salary with endorsement deals from L'Oreal and LG, Forbes says. That totals $13 million apiece between May 2010 and 2011. What, we can't go down a couple numers to see who really won that contest?
Longoria's Housewives costar Marcia Cross, Law & Order: SVU star Mariska Hargitay and CSI's Marg Helgenberger tied at $10 million, while Longoria's onscreen pals Teri Hatcher and Felicity Huffman had to make do with a mere $9 million. Cougar Town's Courteney Cox tied with Grey's Anatomy lead Ellen Pompeo at $7 million, while Juliana Marguiles of The Good Wife topped $6 million. Think that sounds like a lot? Consider that the four biggest movie stars -- Angelina Jolie, Sarah Jessica Parker, Jennifer Aniston and Reese Witherspoon -- made more than these 10 ladies combined.
