TLC cancels 'L.A. Ink,' Kat Von D says she quit
First she broke up with Jesse James because he was runnin' around on her (we hear). Now Kat Von D's reality shoe, L.A. Ink, has been canceled. Or she quit. Whichever.
"TLC has decided that the current season of LA INK will be its last," TLC said in a statement. "The network is proud of what the series has accomplished in its four seasons, following Kat Von D’s journey as an artist from Miami to Los Angeles."
Kat took exception to that, writing via @thekatvond, "I love how me deciding to not continue doing LA Ink, turns into being "cancelled." Thanks @TLC. Regardless of everything I remain grateful."
She elaborated in a statement to People, saying, "In an effort to capitalize on my recent breakup, the network has decided to focus their energy on re-editing events that didn't happen while filming. I have no regrets and am very proud of the original footage. In my opinion, any attempt to compromise the honesty of that would be an insult to my fans and viewers."
This no doubt has something to do with the James breakup, which is too bad. We were really looking forward to the revamped show, Racist Biker and the Tattooed Rebound.
