Two legends will share screen before they kick
Heat was a great movie and all, what with featuring Robert De Niro and Al Pacino onscreen together for the first time, but we were always disappointed the pair only had two scenes together in the whole film (The Godfather, Part II doesn’t count, either).
Well, we get another chance to see these two heavyweights at the same time — producers in Cannes announced the duo will team up for Righteous Kill, Reuters reports.
This time, instead of being foes in a cops and robbers saga, both actors will play detectives tracking a serial killer. “You see those two icons on screen together for virtually the whole film,” Millennium Films chief Avi Lerner told the Hollywood Reporter.
This is great news, because with De Niro 63 and Pacino 67, Hollywood may not have too many more shots at this.
