Vanessa Hudgens is tough now, wants to do a movie with Quentin Tarantino
The Juice* has made no secret the next movie we want to see is Sucker Punch, a ridiculous genre mashup by Zack Snyder about five female inmates who escape a mental asylum and go on an anime-style rampage through a cartoonish futureworld. And thanks to Vanessa Hudgens, we'll know some of the stunts aren't just camera tricks.
"We trained with Navy Seals. We were machines. You could not f--- with us,"," the 5-foot-4 High School Musical star tells Details about the training she and costars Emily Browning, Abbie Cornish, Jena Malone and Jamie Chung. "We'd all go running around Vancouver, where we filmed, to restaurants and bars and karaoke, like we owned it. We'd intentionally cruise back alleys, knowing that if anything did happen, we'd be all right. Taking the safest way home at that point was just boring."
That's so awesome, words simply can't do it justice. But what does she plan to do with this newfound badassery?
"After the Oscars we were at Madonna's party. Quentin Tarantino was there, and I was talking to him for a while, probably after a few drinks, and I told him, 'We've gotta do something together.' And he was like, 'I would love to. That would be really great.' So it's been put out there," Hudgens says. "Slowly, I've gained balls. I used to be very shy." We blame Zac Efron. Good thing he's history.
