'Walking Dead' actor charged with DUI in Georgia
Actor Scott Wilson, who plays the world-weary zombie denier Hershel Greene on AMC's The Walking Dead, was arrested and faces DUI charges after being pulled over in Peachtree City, Ga. We knew Hershel fell off the wagon after the barn was cleared out, but this is a bit too Method for his own good.
The 70-year-old actor was pulled over on a state highway at 2 a.m. Aug. 18 by Peachtree City police after he was seen swerving all over the road. He told police he'd been drinking Scotch and wine in Senoia, the Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports. He also gave his last name as Miller, then corrected himself by saying it was his mother's maiden name. When he flunked sobriety tests, he said the road was too "slanted" and offered to do "yoga moves" instead.
Breath tests in the field yielded a 0.143, almost twice the legal limit of 0.08. He then hit as high as 0.155 at the cop shop. Did we mention the car was his sister's? Maybe he was rewatching the first half of season two and got bored. We needed a drink to pass the time, too.
