One of the best children’s movies of all time is slated for a remake, with Greek filmmaker Dennis Iliadis taking the helm, the Hollywood Reporter says.

We’re talking, of course, about Wes Craven’s Last House on the Left, a vicious and pretty distasteful 1972 gorefest about parents who take revenge on the thugs who raped and murdered their teenage daughter and her friend.

Not a kid’s movie, you say? All we know is that it scared the heck out of The Juice*’s sister when she was a kid, prompting her to call in every single time she went out with friends.
