Wesley Snipes reports to Pa. prison for three-year sentence for tax evasion
It looks like Wesley Snipes' last-minute legal finaglings are over: He's finally turned himself in to federal officials to begin his three-year prison sentence for tax evasion.
"Wesley Snipes has self surrendered to the minimum security Federal Prison Camp at the Federal Correctional Institution McKean, in Bradford, Pennsylvania," Traci Billingsley, chief public information office for the Bureau of Prisons told TMZ. The quote was confirmed by another spokesperson, as well.
We could add more detail to that whole thing, but the guy was convicted on three counts of not paying his taxes, which simply won't fly in this economy. Don't think the 48-year-old's spending all his time in the hole, however; E! says the prison, which houses 290 white collar criminals, is nicknamed "McKean the dream." Since he's expected to be out in about two years anyway, the worst thing likely to happen to him is that he's not going to be allowed any conjugal visits.
