Wesley Snipes trial is delayed ... again
The AP reports U.S. District Judge William Terrell Hodges in Ocala on Wednesday called it a “ploy” for Snipes to delay trial, but said the motion was in the public interest. The trial was slated to start this month after being delayed from March.
Snipes expressed a “complete lack of trust and confidence” in Martin, who also represented NFL quarterback Michael Vick. Snipes says Martin ignored his case while working on Vick’s dogfighting charges. Snipes has hired Robert G. Bernhoft, who previously worked for him in a paternity case.
