'Wolverine,' 'Spidey 4' in the works
Superhero fanatics, rejoice: The long-awaited stand-alone Wolverine movie, starring Hugh Jackman, has a release date of May 1, 2009. The film will feature many other mutants, and the cast could include Liev Schreiber as a younger version of nemesis William Stryker. The working title, according to Variety: X-Men Origins: Wolverine. (Well ... they have pelnty of time to work on the title.) Meanwhile, Spider-Man director Sam Raimi tells MTV.com that a writer is working on a draft of Spider-Man 4, which he says will be "a fresh take on the Spider-Man series." Raimi won't direct the next one, but he will produce it. "In this case, it's more in the writer's hands. I'm going to let the writer envision where Peter Parker would go next."
