Writers chosen for next installment of 'The Terminator'
The Terminator always claimed to be coming back, so here we go again, with new writers tapped to crank out another epsiode. What are we on now, part four? Five? Who knows. We've all lost count. The series will not stop! Ever! Until you are dead!
Deadline.com says Laeta Kalogridis and Patrick Lussier have been chosen by Skydance Productions and Annapurna Pictures to write a new script, which we can only hope takes place in 1981, when Sarah Connor graduates from high school. Where else could they go with it? All the susbsequent movies and that weird TV show The Sarah Connor Chronicles wreaked havoc on any plausible storyline.
Kalogridis previously worked on Avatar, Shutter Island and Alexander, and Lussier has written scripts for award-winners like Wes Craven's Dracula and My Bloody Valentine. The site does say that Kalogridis is pals with James Cameron, so there's a little hope, but frankly, it's time to ensure this franchise has no future.
