'X-Files' creator Chris Carter working on new show
The Juice* was just wondering the other day where X-Files creator Chris Carter went, so it's a nice coincidence that there's word he's creating a new pilot for TV. And wouldn't you know it, it has a supernatural element to it. That'll be a nice change of pace.
The Hollywood Reporter says Carter is working on a female-led mystery police thriller called Unique. Female law enforcement, huh? Will it be a redhead named after a baseball announcer, perhaps? Carter will write and executive produce the show, but no potential release date was given.
Carter's been lying low since X-Files ended in 2002, only working on that silly second movie in 2008. Maybe he's been considering how he should have ended the show when David Duchovny left in the seventh season. No offense, Robert Patrick and Annabeth Gish, but Gillian Anderson was on her own after that.
