This is one of those gossip-of-record moments, so bear with us: Zooey Deschanel is now officially divorced from Death Cab for Cutie singer Ben Gibbard. It happened last week. Now you know.

The pair's split was official on Dec. 12, almost a year after Deschanel filed in January, citing irreconcilable differences, TMZ says. The pair married in 2009 and have no children, so this is what the young folk call a starter marriage, right there.

Both Zooey and Ben waived rights to spousal support, since she's an actress with a TV show and he has that whole music career thing going on. And, well, that's really all there is to say about that. But at least now if you search Google for either one of these people, you'l get The Juice* as a result. Ain't that nice for us?
