David Morrissey will be back as a series regular for Season 4 of 'The Walking Dead'
It turns out 12.4 million people watched the season finale of The Walking Dead on Sunday night, only to see a great first three-quarters done in by a safe, mediocre final 15 minutes (SPOILERS!). But to answer your biggest question after his Vaderesque escape from Woodbury, yes, the Governor will be back, because David Morrissey has signed on as a series regular for Season 4.
The Hollywood Reporter really doesn't have anything to anything to add to the story, other than to confirm what we already know: That Morrissey did such a good job in the first half of the season, they'd bring him back for another round, even if the story took another left turn from the source material.
It is a shame to see AMC didn't have the guts to go full-blown graphic novel and re-create the source material's prison storyline. After Lori Grimes had her baby so early in the season, we had our hopes, but no, they opted for safe more than shocking.
