You probably can’t even remember how long it’s been since Demi Moore split up with Ashton Kutcher, but we looked it up: 16 months. And Demi has just now gotten around to filing divorce papers. She must not have been as mad about him cheating on their anniversary as we originally thought.

A source tells the New York Post’s Page Six it was more about her being sick of trying to reach a confidential settlement, however: “Ashton made a lot of money after marrying Demi — a lot more than she made — but despite him becoming just as famous through her, he believes he doesn’t owe her that much,” the source said. “She has had enough.”

Technically, the Post only said she was expected to file papers Wednesday, with no proof it had happened yet. Ashton filed his back in December.

“Ashton has been very difficult during the talks,” the source added. “You could even say he has been hostile.” That’s probably because he made $24 million for replacing Charlie Sheen on Two and a Half Men alone, never mind all his tech startup investing.

If we’re lucky, we’ll now see a long, drawn-out court battle during which Moore accuses Kutcher of using her connections to get rich while he calls her a washed-up old hag. Or we could get a super-fast Tom Cruise-Katie Holmes-style split. Celebrity divorces are a real crapshoot these days.
