Diddy reportedly turned down 'American Idol' judge job over Jennifer Lopez
It looks like Kanye West isn't the only one who turned down American Idol, because Us Weekly says that Sean "Diddy" Combs did, too, back in Season 13. But only because his ex-girlfriend Jennifer Lopez signed on, too.
Well, there was more, the source said; Apparently Diddy didn't want to be around J.Lo's manager, Benny Medina, who used to manged Combs, too. Sean "felt it was a 'her or me' situation," so you can tell in which direction Idol went. It's still a weird idea, since they broke up more than 10 years ago.
A Combs rep denies what the source says, of course, but who would admit being that petty. That would have made for some great television. Maybe Idol can somehow now get Ben Affleck or Marc Anthony on the show to be third judge instead.
