Remember the harrowing story of Tampa resident Nick Schuyler, the lone survivor of a 2009 boating accident that left three of his friends dead in the Gulf of Mexico? His book about the tragedy will become a movie starring Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, according to Variety.

Relativity is adapting the best-selling memoir Not Without Hope. The story follows Schuyler and his three friends, former Buccaneers Marquis Cooper and Corey Smith, and Schuyler’s best friend, former USF football player Will Bleakley, on a fishing trip in the Gulf of Mexico. Their boat capsized, leaving them stranded, and Schuyler emerged as the sole survivor.
Johnson will play Schuyler in the movie. According to Variety, Schuyler said he’s “humbled that Relativity was interested in paying tribute to Marquis, Corey and Will, and I was impressed with their vision for the film and how they wanted to honor how these guys lived and loved their families, friends and teammates.”
