Eddie Murphy joins Twitter, starts promoting a new reggae album

See? It's really real. And not too bad.

See? It's really real. And not too bad.

First Prince starts using Twitter, now Eddie Murphy has, too. And they're both pushing new albums! It's almost like this Twitter thing has legs or something.

Murphy started an account on Wednesday and used @eddiemurphy to do the natural thing: Promote a reggae album he made with Snoop Lion. Wow. We were not expecting that. "Listen to Eddie Murphy's first single #RedLight ft. @SnoopLion. Stay tuned for more info on his upcoming album '9'!" he wrote, adding the Soundcloud link to the song, which you can hear below.

Murphy's made some music albums before, most notably 1985's How Could It Be, which featured Party All The Time, written by Rick James. He also made So Happy, but that wasn't as big. He's also sung in movies and did that weird song Whatzupwitu with Michael Jackson, but that's not important right now.
