Erin Andrews to replace Brooke Burke-Charvet as 'DWTS' co-host
After seven seasons of standing next to Tom Bergeron and looking shiny, Dancing With the Stars co-host and Season 7 winner Brooke Burke-Charvet was shocked to hear she’s getting the hook.
“I have enjoyed seven seasons co-hosting DWTS but understand the need for change considering the position of the show at this juncture,” Burke-Charvet said in a statement to E! Online on Friday. “I’ve always been one to embrace change and [I’m] looking forward to pursuing opportunities I previously wasn’t able to entertain because of contractual obligations to the show. I’ve seen my fair share of shocking eliminations in the ballroom, but this one takes the cake.”
So who exactly could be just as qualified to look pretty in ball gowns, conduct live interviews amid the action and also look pretty in ball gowns ? Why, none other than Season 10 finalist and Fox Sports host and sideline reporter Erin Andrews, of course.
People reports that hometown girl Andrews, who competed on the show in 2010 with Maksim Chmerkovskiy, will co-host Season 18. A nice change of pace after all the Richard Sherman, eh?
