Fifth man sues former Elmo puppeteer Kevin Clash for underage sexual contact
Just when you thought the mess with former Elmo puppeteer Kevin Clash may have been swept under the rug, a fifth man is filing a suit claiming Clash abused him when he was a teenager. This thing is turning into a class-action suit before our very eyes.
New Yorker Kevin Kiadii says he was 16 when he met Clash, now 52, on a gay chat line, the Baltimore Sun reports. His contact with the Sesame Street staple started in 2004, when "Clash gave Kiadii alcohol and groomed him with attention and affection," the lawsuit reads. "As a 16 year old child, Kiadii was not emotionally or psychologically prepared for a sexual relationship with a grown man in his forties."
Kiadii, now 25, is seeking undisclosed damages, the Sun reports. All five plaintiffs against Clash are represented by Miami's Jeff Herman, and all five say the relationships were consensual, but while the plaintiffs were younger than the age of consent.
