Actor Jonathan Groff has been comforting his TV and Broadway costar Lea Michele following Cory Monteith's death, but he's had problems of his own. It seems he and boyfriend Zachary Quinto split up awhile back.

"Zach being away and filming was not easy on them," a source told Us Weekly about Star Trek's Quinto, citing work schedules as the problem. "Now he's going to be in New York with his new play (The Glass Menagerie). They really loved each other, so it wasn't an easy split."

Groff, 28, and Quinto, 36, admitted being together in Sept. 2012, almost a year after Quinto announced he was gay. Groff played Monteith's rival for Michele's affection on Glee, which now faces the need to write Monteith's Finn Hudson out of the storyline for good.
