After a judge ruled Friday that doctors could keep Amanda Bynes on a long-term hold at UCLA Medical Center for up to a year, we all knew she wouldn't be going anywhere soon. What we didn't know was how much it's going to cost: $3,500 per day.

TMZ rustled up the figure, which includes room and board along with treatment, but that sounds like an awful lot, in any case. What's more, the site says her Screen Actors Guild insurance will only cover a fraction of the costs.

The court said Friday the actual goal of Bynes' treatment is to keep her in the hospital for 60 days, then discharge her into her mother's care. At that point, the actress still would have racked up $210,000 in medical bills, and we all know if there's one thing this country's insurance industry cares about, it's people with mental health problems who can't read forms easily or make sound decisions.
