Good thing the couple attended the play “The Unavoidable Disappearance of Tom Durnin” on Thursday night before reading the Mail's story.
Friday was not a good day for Alec Baldwin, who once again had a public meltdown on Twitter after the U.K.'s Daily Mail accused his wife Hilaria Thomas of tweeting throughout James Gandolfini's funeral on Thursday. It's all been deleted since, but you can practically see his face get redder as you read it.
Thankfully, Gawker provided a blow-by-blow account of the action, which came up after a reporter named George Stark wrote the piece that said Thomas was on her phone during the funeral at the Cathedral Church of St. John the Divine in New York. So, who's left to pay her now?
Paula Deen has lost more business partners, thanks to that legal deposition that has ruined her life. This time it's Sears Holdings, which owns both Sears and Kmart. Well, it's not like anyone shops at either of those place anymore, anyway.
"After careful consideration of all available information, we have made the decision to phase out all products tied to (Deen's) brand," the company told TMZ in a statement. "We will continue to monitor the situation."
This move comes right after QVC clarified its earlier support by saying they have "decided to take a pause" in its dealings with Deen. The roster of partners jumping ship also includes Food Network, Target, a casino chain and Home Depot.Full Story
There's only a 17-year age difference, but do you really want to picture this?
We don't usually listen to much of anything Andy Cohen does on Bravo, but his conversation with Cher on Watch What Happens Live piqued our interest. Tom Cruise probably paid attention, too.
The 67-year-old actress and singer was challenged to a round of "Truth or Cher" by Cohen, who then proceeded to ask her who her greatest lover was. "Well, a lot of them came in first," she said. "I had the greatest lovers ever." But what about Cruise, whom the actor dated for a spell in the '80s before he married Mimi Rogers.Full Story
The timing was not the best.
Actor and director James Franco had some sort of problem with his upcoming project, The Garden of Last Days, so he reportedly left it on Thursday. Unfortunately it was only two weeks before shooting was slated to start.
Despite a July 10 production date, Franco bailed on the shoot after fighting with bankrollers Millenium after they were unhappy with Franco's inexperienced crew, Deadline.com says. The movie, for which Franco was supposed to both star and direct, is an adaptation of an Andre Dubus III book about a stripper, a loner and a terrorist. Sounds fun.Full Story
Would you believe this guy from 2008 would have so many problems?
Keeping track of former Terminator 3 actor Nick Stahl is kind of a cottage industry for TMZ, which reports the actor was arrested early Friday for allegedly using meth. This was a day after telling the site he was glad he was committed to an L.A. psych ward in mid June, too.
The site says the 33-year old was at a Hollywood motel around 5 a.m. with three other people when cops went to do a parole compliance check on one of Stahl's companions. That person failed, because police said all of them, including Stahl and his prior drug addictions, were all using crystal. Off to the pokey he went.Full Story

If Moore could play Sarah Palin, she can play Alma Coin.
We haven't even reached the second movie in The Hunger Games trilogy, and already we're hearing two things: That Julianne Moore may join the series, and that Mockingjay will be two movies. So is it still a trilogy, then?
Moore is in talks to play District 13 leader Alma Coin in the third and fourth movies, The Hollywood Reporter says. That would mean a lot of Oscar-style scenery chewing with Jennifer Lawrence, that's for sure.Full Story
Bieber won't deal with your lip.
Justin Bieber has another headache stemming from a run-in with a photographer, this time being blamed for attacking a paparazzo last year. At least it's actually Bieber being accused and not his bodyguards.
A suit filed in L.A. by Jose Osmin Hernandez Duran claims in May 2012 Bieber and Selena Gomez (back when they were dating) were in a shopping center parking lot in Calabasas, Calif. The pair got into a big Mercedes Sprinter van and tried to leave, but were blocked by a group of snap-happy photogs.
Bieber was yelling, "F--- off! Get out of my way!" at the shooters when he got out, ran up to Duran and "delivered a martial-arts type kick" to Duran's ribs, the filing says, according to E!. He then punched Duran on the right side of his face, the complaint says. We didn't know Bieber was a southpaw.Full Story
Paula is still reeling from her court deposition from almost two months ago.
Another day, another lost sponsor for Paula Deen. This time it's Target and the drug manufacturer Novo Nordisk. But by all means, let's keep this shame train rolling down the track.

Well, the marriage of dubstep and L.A. Ink was fun while it lasted, but Kat Von D and Deadmau5 are officially kaput. We were hoping for a really wild wedding reception, too.
Kat kicked things off Wednesday by tweeting, "Cheating on your loved one is the most hurtful thing one could do. I hate to have to admit, that this relationship is indeed over. Onwards and upwards." Obviously that had something to do with her DJ fiance. He addressed the split on Thursday.
"Kat and I split in November and I moved back home to Toronto," he wrote on his Facebook page. "During this time, while we were broken up, I did have relations with another woman. Following that, Kat and I reconciled and I acknowledged being intimate with another person while we were estranged." That didn't stop them from getting engaged.Full Story

Do we believe everything we see on the Internet?
Real Housewives of Miami star Cristy Rice has jumped up a few steps on the celebrity ladder by being linked to bona fide famous person Jamie Foxx. We do so enjoy it when people are successful in their chosen professions.
The New York Post's Page Six says the couple were "dancing, drinking and all over each other" at the Delano Hotel in South Beach on Monday night. The circumstantial proof comes from Rice's Instagram feed, which showed the ex-wife of retired Miami Heat player Glen Rice and the celluloid president from White House Down.Full Story
But wait, there's more.
The Paula Deen updates are already getting tedious, but the news from Wednesday includes a tearful interview with Matt Lauer on Today and the loss of another sponsorship deal, so at least Paula got a chance to cry on television.
Telling Lauer she canceled her Friday interview because she "was overwhelmed" and "in a state of shock" over the National Enquirer's story about her racially charged court deposition, Deen said "every one of God's creatures was created equal … that's the way I was raised and that's the way I live my life." Watch the video below.
Besides her odd tactic of playing the victim from her own actions, she seemed largely contrite, wiping her eyes and saying, "If there's anyone out there that have never said something that they wish they could take back. If you're out there please pick up that stone and throw it so hard at my head that it kills me. Please, I want to meet you. I is what I is, and I'm not changing."Full Story

The prize for first celebrity we've heard of announcing a same-sex marriage following Wednesday's Supreme Court ruling on the Defense of Marriage Act goes to Melissa Etheridge. She proudly announced she would marry her girlfriend, Nurse Jackie creator Linda Wallem, on the most official of all media channels, Twitter.
"Lets hear it for the general progress of the human mind. With a beautiful sweep of sweet justice's blind hand we move forward," she wrote in a series of tweets. "We correct the laws made hastily out of fear. I look forward to exercising my American civil liberties and getting fully, completely and legally married this year to my true love of over three years, Linda Wallem."Full Story
Why not someone surprising, like Channing Tatum?
She suffered through a couple of off years, but Oprah Winfrey is officially back atop the Forbes list of 100 most powerful celebrities, even after making $88 million less last year. Wow, the recession really did hit everyone hard.
Depsite losing her talk show and some $330 million on her Oprah Winfrey Network, OWN has righted the ship and Winfrey has reclaimed her throne as being the biggest celeb between June 2012 and June 2013. She had been at the top of the heap before, but faltered the last two years. The list is based not on earnings, but rather print and TV mentions, Internet popularity and something called a "marketability score," whatever that is.Full Story
