Although Jack White and his wife Karen Elson reportedly had an amicable divorce, a restraining order she just had put on White says otherwise, alleging all manner of harassment. It also shows that Jack really doesn't like the Black Keys.

Nashville City Paper reports that court papers described Elson "fears for her and the children’s safety as a result of this harassment." The couple have apparently been fighting over parental rights for their two children, with White maintaining he wants to be a father to them, but Elson calling him unfit.

The restraining order request claims he had a violent temper and sent threatening emails and texts “pressuring her about the settlement terms for divorce.” White apparently also was angry his kids were being put in a school with Black Keys member Dan Auerbach's child.

"My concern with Auerbach is because I don't want the kids involved in any of that crap ... That's a possible twelve f---ing years I'm going to have to be sitting in kids chairs next to that a------ with other people trying to lump us in together," White wrote in an email to Elson, according to TMZ. "(Auerbach) gets yet another free reign to follow me around and copy me and push himself into my world."

So obviously there's something going on there we don't fully understand. But what we do know is the order was served on July 22, and that party the couple threw to celebrate their 2011 divorce was a bigger sham than their marriage.

As a side note, we read that Bobby Allyn, who broke the story, was in the middle of scooping the story at his former employer, the Tennessean, according to, when he was laid off by parent company Gannett. He promptly walked across the street and sold it to Nashville City Paper, which would be a promising job lead, if that paper weren't slated to close on Aug. 9. But hey, at least we got to read Jack White's emails!
