Justin Bieber compares himself to Michael Jackson on Instagram
One day after getting arrested in Miami, Justin Bieber addressed his troubles publicly for the first time when he posted a photo on Instagram comparing himself to Michael Jackson. Yep, that sounds about right. The 19-year-old put up a 'gram Friday showing himself leaving police custody next to a photo of Jackson outside of a courthouse in 2004 after pleading not guilty to child-molestation charges.
Under the photos, Bieber wrote “What more can they say,” which appears to be a quote from Jay Z’s 2003 song What More Can I Say, and an emoji of a crown. As in, uh, royalty?
Bieber was released from jail Thursday following his arrest on charges of driving under the influence, driving with an expired license and resisting arrest. Police say they stopped the pop star while he was drag-racing down a Miami Beach street before dawn.
Also on Friday, Bieber’s dad Jeremy (who’s been pretty elusive up until now in regards to his son’s fame), tweeted about the incident, saying at @JeremyBieber: “I can protect my kids, but I can’t protect them from you and your lies. Believe in the truth not in the lies of the enemy. #reallife” No idea what any of that means, but TMZ has said good ol’ Jeremy was in Miami with his son when the illegal incidents went down, so don’t go giving him any parenting awards just yet.
