Kanye West enters not guilty plea in L.A. photographer battery case
Because we have to stay on Kanye West watch, we'd like to alert you to the fact that he has pleaded not guilty to beating up a photographer at LAX earlier this year. It's basically a technicality, but we try to be the gossip rag of record in these incremental celebrity justice updates.
West's attorney Blair Berk entered the plea in L.A. on Thursday, where Kanye was being charged with misdemeanor battery and attempted grand theft, the AP reports. The charges stem from a scuffle with photographer Daniel Ramos on July 19, when West allegedly punched the photog and wrestled his camera to the ground.
To prove just how incremental an update this is, Kanye's case isn't due back in court until Jan. 23. Prosecutors already declined to file felony charges, so don't expect this one to have legs much beyond that.
