Kanye West may want to buy Graceland for Kim Kardashian
Here's a completely outlandish rumor that can't possibly be true: Word is that Kanye West wants to buy Graceland for his baby's mama, Kim Kardashian. We'll let you process that for jus a second.
The Memphis Commercial Appeal cites a British Daily Star report that West wants to purchase Elvis Presley's estate from his daughter, Lisa Marie. “There have been constant whispers that it’s due to go on the market, as long as it stays open to the public and as a place for Elvis fans to visit," a source allegedly tells the Daily Star. “Kanye is really excited about the possibility of owning it. He thinks it would be really cool if he, Kim and baby Nori lived there, at least some of the time.”
Sure, but just because Kanye dreams it doesn’t mean it’ll happen. According to the Commercial Appeal, Graceland’s reported $200 million price tag includes the rights to give tours, sell merchandise and control the King’s music publishing rights — we can see Kanye being interested in that part — but not the deed to the property itself. But maybe if Lisa Marie throws in some of the King’s green shag carpeting, it'll help seal the deal.
